Chettinad chicken

Chettinad Chicken 
Chicken 600-700 gms 
Sliced onion 2 cups 
Garlic 10-12 cloves ( depending upon garlic liking you can reduce the quantity accordingly)
Curd  6 tsps
Fresh coconut grated 6 tsps
Lemon juice 2tsp
Salt to taste 
Deegi mirch 1/4 tsp/ few pinch of haldi
Few curry leaves / half tsp rai 
Dry masala 
4 dry red chillies /  12-14 black pepper / 
3 tsp saunf /  Sabut dhania 5 tsp/ cumin 3 tsp/ clove 5-6 / green cardamom 7-8/  cinnamon sticks ( if spiral then 1 else small  3-4 pcs) . 

Step 1 : Dry roast all dry masala ingredients this masala in pan without oil for few minutes and you start getting masala fragrance,let it cool and grind it to powder form .

Step 2: marinate chicken by adding curd , lemon juice, and dry masala, salt / deeghi Mirch/ haldi and leave for some time till you are preparing for other things

Step 3: grind coconut grated to paste by adding water along with one green chilli/ or coconut powder with water n chilli to paste.

Step 4: slice onion and garlic and stir fry in pan with some mustard oil / refined oil till little pinkish , take out from pan and let it cool . We are going to use this oil 
Grind onion and garlic to paste. 
Now are all ingredients ready and let’s cook
Use oil leftover , heat it add rai and curry leaves and add onion and garlic paste stir for a while and then add coconut paste and keep on stirring for few seconds . Now add marinate chicken with all marination and mix all masala together and little water . Cover and cook for 25 to 30 mintues ( do keep on stirring in between ).
